I'm A Grown Up!

This is ground breaking news people.

I painted my own nails last night. I did it! I have nails to paint. This is huge. I've always bitten my nails (disgusting habit, I know). I stopped back in September, and I decided to paint my nails last night to celebrate actually having a tiny little nail to paint.

This is so exciting. Now I need to get an actual manicure! I feel like such an adult!

I'm going to list something I'm thankful for everyday this week in celebration of Thanksgiving. Today I'm thankful for these tiny little nails, and that every time I look at them I think of my mom. She has beautiful hands/nails and always always always has them painted. I'm so thankful for my mom. She is the girliest girl and I'm so thankful she passed that to me and my sister. She is awesome!

Productive

Can I just toot my own horn for a minute. This weekend I've done all of the following:
Cleaned house.
This included deep cleaning the microwave (ewww).
This also included un-screwing the shower drain and cleaning it (double ewwwww).
Washed, dried, folded, ironed, hung, put up every single piece of clothing we own. That's right, at this very moment I have NO dirty laundry and NOTHING needs to be ironed! Seriously!
Went to church.
Went to the grocery store.
Painted letters to hang above my bed.
Watched Alabama win. Again!
Worked out!

Now I am working. On a Sunday. Which is totally lame if you ask me, but this is a short week and the work has to get done between now and then. Soooo...back to work I go.

Happy Sunday!

Five Things I Love Today

I usually post these type lists on Friday, but I just couldn't help myself today.

Yes, Twitter. OK, let me get a little more specific, I'm loving that Neil Patrick Harris is now on Twitter! That totally made my night last night when I saw he was tweeting. I may have a big, giant crush on him! And if you aren't on Twitter yet, WHY NOT?!? It's the best place to rant and rave!

Houndstooth wrapping paper! Spotted at Hobby Lobby!!!! They have it in red, black and green! I'm thinking I'll buy the red and black. I'll most likely use red ribbon with the black paper and green with the red. That will be my Christmas wrapping theme this year. (I have a theme every year!)

My favorite purple sweater. I'm wearing it today. It's the perfect weight (not too bulky) and color. I just love it.

Did you guys hear...The latest Twilight movie comes out this week! OMG! Like I'm sure you haven't heard that. GEEZ. This is one thing I'm loving today because the sooner it comes out, the sooner we can move on. I saw the first movie and thought it was fine and all, but I do not get the pandemonium surrounding these people. (BTW, I'm totally team Jacob!)

Trader Joe's pumpkin bread mix. This stuff HAS to be laced with crack. Holy cow is it good. Don't get me started on how I went to TJ's last night to re-stock and THEY WERE OUT. And I only have one piece left in the last batch I cooked. What's an addict to do?!??!?!?!??

Hi, Hello, And How Are You Today

I had the most relaxing weekend EVER! I've had a cold for two weeks now, so this weekend was all about doing nothing. I really needed it. Weekends filled with traveling finally caught up to me.

My mission this weekend was to spruce up the house. I'm so tired of my decor and tired of empty walls, etc. I did a little decorating and it certainly looks better. Maybe I'll post pictures later this week. I'm working on a little above the bed project that I really hope turns out cute! I'm on to plan B, but I think I like it better than plan A!

The best part of the weekend was watching Alabama football! I am very thankful we had a road game, so I could stay home! We are so excited about this season and what's to come. Of course SEC championship tickets are $600 for upper deck. That is ridiculous in my opinion. It makes me sick to my stomach that ticket brokers can control so much. UGH!!!!! I really want to go to the game. But not for that much $.

Now, the countdown is on for Thanksgiving. And then Christmas! November is my busy month at work, so work will be insane between now and Thanksgiving, but that's okay. I love that my busy month ends and the Christmas season begins.

What else? Oh, I got myself a hair cut. I always feel like a million bucks when I get a cut, color and/or eyebrow wax/pedicure. :)

Finally, I need some new music STAT! Anyone heard anything decent lately? I do like the new Snow Patrol song "just say yes".

Happy Monday!

Thank You

Thank you to all the men and women who serve/have served in the military. Thank you also to the spouses and family members who support and encourage their loved ones as they fight for our freedom.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Is Alabama Ready?

HELL YEAH!

We play LSU tomorrow! This game is going to be HUGE. I'm very nervous, but that is just part of SEC football.

Tom and I are driving to the game - our last this season. I mean, not Alabama's last game, but the last regular season game we'll attend. So sad. It went by too fast.

VS.

Roll Tide!!!!
